with a high school exchange student<\/strong><\/p>

Make next school year the most enriching for your family, ever! Volunteers- with or without children at home- are needed to host students, 15 to 18 year old boys and girls, from Germany, Sweden, China, Brazil, Belgium,Italy, Czech Republic, Japan, Ecuador, South Korea, and several other countries. Volunteers are able to review student applications and choose the boy or girl that best matches their family.<\/p>

SHARE! students speak English, come medically insured and with their own spending money for personal expenses. They attend the host family’s local high school for a school year or semester.<\/p>

SHARE! families are diverse! Traditional two-parent families (with or without children), single parents or adults, and retired couples all make wonderful host families.<\/p>

Disciples of the Way Ministries offers ESL (English as a Second Language) classes and ESP (English for Specific Purposes (ESP) speaking classes for immigrants and refugees at 6500 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75206.

We offer five different levels of classes (Level 0, level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4). Classes are held every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. We also offer small speaking classes on Monday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. via Zoom and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. via Zoom. The small speaking classes are designed to help our ESL students practice their speaking English as much as they can.<\/p>

Volunteers with all experience levels are accepted. No teaching experience required. First time teachers often choose to help an established teacher for a month before leading their own class.<\/p>

Volunteers are highly<\/strong> encouraged to volunteer for an entire semester to avoid disrupting class. Spring Semester (Jan.-May), Summer (June-August), and Fall (September-December).<\/p>
